The New Year is often a time of goal setting, make sure you acknowledge how far you’ve come as you plan your goals for the future.

Think of one thing you like about yourself. (You always remember to say please and thank you OR you have adorable pinkie toes OR you can shovel an entire sidewalk without swearing too prolifically).

We know this can verge on cheesy self-help (thanks Stuart Smalley) But, really, how much of the time is your inner voice building you up instead of beating you down?

Do you talk yourself out of a workout (because you just aren’t seeing progress)?

What if instead you became your own cheerleader (because you actually did do more pushups this week and definitely have more energy)?
