Can you work with people with chronic pain or injuries?

Quick Answer...

Yes, absolutely. As long as you’ve been cleared by your doctor, our trainers can safely work with chronic pain and past injuries. We modify every session to match what your body needs.

real people. real homes. real change.

(every quote below is from someone who trained right in their living room.)

“It’s the first time I’ve felt safe working out in years.”
“I have arthritis and was nervous, but my trainer knew exactly how to help.”
“They always check in and adapt things if something hurts.”
“They really listened to what my body could handle.”

let's keep it simple.

If you have chronic pain or past injuries, you’re not alone. Many of our clients do. Our trainers are experienced at modifying workouts so you can build strength safely and avoid flare-ups. We’ll meet you where you’re at. Some days that means standing core work, other days it’s stretching on the mat. Every session is personalized, and nothing is one-size-fits-all.

why it matters.

It takes courage to start moving again when you’re dealing with pain or recovering from an injury. The fear of doing more harm is real. At Happy Human, we respect that. You deserve a trainer who honors your limits and helps you feel strong without making things worse.

how happy human does it.

First, we always want to make sure you’re cleared by your doctor, especially if you’re post-surgery or managing a complex condition. From there, your trainer will get to know your body, your pain patterns, and what movements feel good to you. We’ll create a plan that builds confidence and strength over time—never rushing, never forcing. Our sessions are designed to feel safe, encouraging, and doable. If something hurts, we change it. That’s it. You’re in charge, and we adapt to you.
