Happy Human trainers aren’t just any trainers. They’re, well, how would we describe them? Overachievers? Incredibly compassionate? Total nerds about their profession? How about, all of the above.

Our trainers are carefully selected, not just by their resume and accomplishments, but by their personality and vibe.  So, everyone who’s part of the Happy Human team isn’t just good at what they do, they are great listeners, problem-solvers and just plain good to be around, too.

Expertise? Experience?  Many of our Happy Human trainers have over a decade of client experience, all hold four-year degrees in fitness-related fields, and every last one of them is passionate and curious. They are willing to go the extra mile to help you solve whatever it is you’re trying to crack.

Happy Human was founded by two, well, rather happy humans – Amber and Jesse. We started the company in 2012.  

Since then, we’ve rebranded, learned a ton, and made some great new friends.  Through it all we’ve kept the focus on making sure every client we touch loves life a little bit more as a result.


We met in the world of professional dance in Minneapolis before attending grad school together.  Jesse, a studier of choreography and Amber, a kinesiology student (kinesiology = fancy term for the study of functional human movement).

We met, flirted, got married in 2007, had a baby boy, had another baby boy, and never lost our shared love for health, fitness, and movement.

Happy Human came about as a way to bring a fresh, new, sustainable approach to health and fitness.  One that was wasn’t based in corporate gyms, treadmills, body image problems, and the peddling of snake oil.  

The message of Happy Human is finding fitness at home, in your yard, with your kids, in the way you move and in the way you think.  We love what we do and we can’t wait to share more of our story with you.

Join us every morning at 8:30am for a FREE and live online workout and meditation!

After Governor Walz announcement of a shelter in place order we aren’t offering in-home personal training.  We can offer remote training.  And we can offering training outside in local parks (exercise outside with proper social distancing is aloud during shelter in place).

We are complying with the shelter in place order. We are encouraging our community to help slow the spread of the epidemic however they can.  We are offering a free morning workout to anyone who wants to join to keep their spirits up, their bodies fit, and their immunity strong.

We have just the thing!  Join us every morning at 8:30am (Monday through Saturday) for a live online workout.  We are also throwing in a little meditation and daily tip on how to help us all get through this.  The series is called Move, Meditate, and Make a Difference.  Fill out the form above to receive an invite.  Can’t make it at 8:30am?  No problem – follow along with us at our Youtube channel.  The daily event will be posted by about 10am.
